Official notification was received today that GEON has been successful in winning a three year exclusive print contract valued between $2 and $2.5 million per year from the Department of Labour in New Zealand
GEON stood tall among eight competitors to win the contract as a total print management and logistics solution. The Department of Labour will benefit from the new state-of-the-art Highbrook facility, as well the nine other locations situated throughout New Zealand.
To support this win and the growing needs of GEON’s New Zealand clients, the Group has placed the largest order ever lodged with Heidelberg NZ, three state-of-the-art Heidelberg Speedmaster presses and the latest mailing equipment from Finland. Customers will benefit from the time and cost savings typically associated with a single site process containing world class technology.
The Department of Labour will also benefit form GEON Wellington’s purchase of the new A1press, a Heidelberg 102CD which is ideal for point-of-sale, packaging and high end publications such as annual reports and magazines. The machine prints up to 6 colours plus matt, satin, gloss or laserable aqueous coatings. Maximum sheet size is 720 x 1020mm and prints on a range of stock weights from 64 gsm to 1mm thick.
GEON will work together with the Department of Labour to provide them a number of services, including A3, A2 and A1 printing, Labels and Forms.
